Lung edema

Pulmonary edema is a somewhat abnormal accumulation of fluid in the lungs.

This causes shortness of breath and coughing due to the spread of fluid in the numerous air pockets in the capillaries and alveoli.

In some cases, cyanosis (lack of oxygen in the blood) may even appear.

In this disease, respiratory physiotherapy in the acute phase cannot help, but it can help in the stable phase to drain the remaining fluid and restore the loss of ventilatory capacity caused by this pathology.
